We return to downtown Los Angeles and go back in time to the 1920's-1940's.
Scandals! Political corruption! Rogue police! Organized crime!

This LA Noir theme ride is a special October treat.  It's the 1920's in Los Angeles and everyone wants to strike it rich or be a star.  People are moving to Los Angeles by the droves for a chance at the good life.  Leaving behind the polluted Industrial Revolution of the East or the Gold Rush of the Northwest, they set their sights on beautiful Los Angeles.  But soon we would realize they also brought the dark cloud of scandal.  It's no secret that LA has a history of police and political corruption and we'll take you back in time when LA population was booming and organized crime syndicates had their eye on LA.  We will follow the story of some large LA underworld players and the stand up team that brought them down.  Feel free to wear your best 'Goodfellas' attire.  The ride will make 4 stops along the way before ending at Clifton's.

General Ride Information

Skill Level:  Mellow, mostly flat with some car traffic.  No beginners please.
Length of Ride: 11 miles
Meeting Location:  Philippe The Original- 1001 Alameda, Los Angeles, CA 90012
Ending Location: Clifton's Cafeteria- 648 S. Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90014
Getting Here:  This is a one-way bike ride, so use the Metro if you need.  Union Station (Red, Purple, Gold, Amtrak, Metrolink) is the closest stop to the starting location (Philippe's) and you may want to ride back here from our ending location at Clifton's (about 8 blocks) or use the nearby 7th Street Metro Station.
Parking: If you need to drive to the ride, there is street or parking lots nearby.  A large parking garage at Union Station as well.
What to Bring:  Bike in good working order, your id, lock, lights, and water.
